Lands of the respondents' predecessors were acquired by NOIDA under Section 4(1) read with Section 17 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, an award was made on 15.02.1977 and the entire compensation was admittedly received without any application for reference under Section 18. Other landowners covered by the same notification sought a reference, which was rejected in toto by the Additional District Judge, Ghaziabad on 25.11.1981; their First Appeal No.593 of 1982 was allowed by the High Court on 08.07.2019, granting the first enhancement, and a connected First Appeal No.458 of 1982 concerning land in the same village under the same notification was disposed of on 18.04.2022 merely by following that earlier appellate order.…
