What the Court ordered

In view of the foregoing opinion, we endorse the Tribunal’s view as affirmed by the High Court of Karnataka to the effect th at the appellants were ineligible for compassionate appointment wh en their applications were considered and the unamended provisions of Rule 5 of the Rules will not apply to them.
