The appellant was arrested on 12th February, 2007 for offences punishable under Sections 24, 29, 30 and 38 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereinafter called the ‘Act’) and was produced before the Special Judge who remanded him to judicial custody for fifteen days, the period being extended from time to time.
