What the Court ordered

For the reasons discussed above, we are of opinion that all the legislations coming up for consideration in the present case are refer­ able to entries in the Concurrent List and the topic of legislation is not referable to Entry 18 List II. The provisions of the 1971 Act, in so far as they are made applicable to the premises of the respondent bank E are, therefore, intra vires and valid.
